TOUR IS SOLD OUT!
Make your way to Portland
International Jetport by 3:00 pm this afternoon to meet your
fellow passengers and our full-time tour director on board your
private motorcoach. Travel to Maine's south coast region for a
tour of Kennebunkport before arriving at the Meadowmere Resort
in Ogunquit for one night. On Monday you'll see Maine's
southermost lighthouse, ride on a lobsterboat and travel through
mid-coast Maine to the Mt. Desert Island. You'll stay in
Bar Harbor for two nights overlooking Frenchman's Bay.
The next morning you’ll tour Bar Harbor and
Acadia National Park. See the beauty that has attracted
folks to this area for years. Keep your camera handy for stops
atop Cadillac Mountain and Thunder Hole.
Enjoy free time
to browse the shops, boutiques and lunch on your own in Bar
Harbor Village.
Visit Maine’s crustacean’s at the Bar Harbor Oceanarium and
see how baby lobsters are raised at the lobster hatchery here.
Don your souvenir Maine lobster hat this evening as
you’ll be treated
to a downeast Maine lobsterbake with all the fixin's
(alternate menu also available for
landlubbers). Head south for Portland on Wednesday.
Have lunch on your own with time to explore Freeport Village, i
home of the L.L. Bean flagship store and outlet shops.
You'll see all the historic sites in Portland, Maine's largest
city-by-the-sea and stop fat Portland Head Lighthouse,
Maine’s oldest, and one of the country’s most photographed
beacons. Tonight you will stay in a downtown hotel within
walking distance of the historic Old Port waterfront and the
city’s arts district.
A farewell
dinner is featured at a restored mansion this evening. Depart
Portland at your leisure on Thursday. 4 breakfasts & 4

Check in to the grand
Eastland Hotel in downtown Portland for a special group welcome
dinner. On Tuesday you're off for a tour of Portland including a
stop at Maine's most photographed lighthouse. Tour Kennebunkport
and Maine's south coast beach areas. Learn how the Maine lobsterman
makes his living on a special lobster boat cruise in Perkins Cove.
Don your festive Maine lobster hat for a traditional downeast
lobsterbake dinner with sing-a-long entertainment. On Wednesday,
make your way to New Hampshire and board the Conway Scenic
Railroad. Travel on board the motorcoach throughout the panora- mic White Mountains which will now be gold and red at the height
of fall foliage season. In Franconia Notch State Park take an
aerial tram for an enclosed ride to the summit of Cannon Mountain.
Your home tonight is in the scenic mountains of NH. Follow the Top of New
England Color Trail on Thursday into Vermont. Tour Cabot Creamery
cheese factory and the Morse Maple Sugar Farm near Montpelier, where
you'll learn how maple syrup is produced. Visit the world's
largest granite quarry and settle into the comforts of a resort for
two nights in VT. Friday you'll spend touring central
Vermont, stopping at Vermont's little Grand Canyon (Quechee Gorge) and
a Simon Pearce Glass demonstration. Lunch included at the Woodstock
Inn - a classic Vermont setting. Tour a working dairy farm and
living museum of Vermont's rural history before returning to the
lakeside resort. Saturday will find you traveling into central New
Hampshire for a tour of the Canterbury Shaker Village where you can
watch skilled artisans recreate traditional Shaker crafts. A buffet
lunch is in store for you while crossing New Hampshire's largest lake
on a narrated cruise. Return to the Eastland Hotel in Portland
with a special farewell dinner at a restored mansion. Depart at
your leisure on Sunday, October 19th with your colorful memories of
